Scottish actress Karen Gillan was born on 28th November 1987 to Marie and Raymond Gillan, in Inverness in the Scottish highlands. Her father is a singer and recording artist. At the young age of 16, the actress moved to Edinburgh at Telford College to study acting. After two years, she moved to the Italia Conti Academy, London to study Theatre Arts. Being recruited by a modeling agency at a young age, the unstoppable Scottish star however, wanted to become an actress and not a model.
