Everything You Need To Know About the Aryan Khan Case

The NCB team raided the Goa-bound cruise ship on 2 October on a tip and claimed to have seized prohibited drugs. The NCB has arrested 20 people in connection with the case, which has resulted in a political slugfest that NCB officials claim is irrelevant and this news has become celeb news overnight.

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Aryan Khan, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son. On Saturday night, following an operation on a passenger cruise stationed in Mumbai, they raided a party where banned drugs were found. During the investigation, the alleged culprits were checked for multiple substances including MDMA/ Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone), and charas.

According to reports, Aryan Khan’s phone is underscan of officials and discovered several chats indicating that Aryan regularly ordered and took drugs and might be charged and arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra are some of those arrested by the NCB in addition to Aryan Khan. All of these people became infamous on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as well as forums like Reddit.

According to the sources, NCB did not witness the participation of high-profile celebrities on the cruise when organizing the action. A source added that the NCB received information that it would not be an ordinary cruise shop celebration but one where drugs would be found. The raiding crew disguised themselves as passengers and were unaware of the other passengers aboard. The culprits were brought to court on that day after the legal formalities were completed. The cruise organizers were also summoned by NCB before 11 p.m. for investigation.

A local court in Mumbai denied Aryan Khan, 23, and two others bail on Friday. RM Nerlikar, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM), sentenced Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha to two weeks in jail until the outcome of the investigation. They arrested them under the NDPS Act’s numerous clauses causing an uproar on Bollywood TV.

Satish Maneshinde, the lawyer for accused Aryan Khan, has filed a bail application in a special NDPS court. If the bail gets denied, we will move to the higher court. The hearing was to take place today. After a Mumbai court denied Aryan Khan bail, involving an alleged seizure of narcotic substances, his counsel claimed that they would not act today. Satish Maneshinde stated that they would see the order copy and then decide.

A magistrate court on Friday denied Aryan Khan bail on the grounds of maintainability and jurisdiction of the court. It also rejected the bail requests for his friends Arbaaz Merchant, 26, and Munmun Dhamecha, 28. Maneshinde claims Khan should be granted bail since “not even an ounce” of contraband is on him and cannot be held in custody because suspected chats on his phone led to no result. NCB allegedly also claimed that ‘Arbaaz shared some drugs with Aryan,’ according to reports. However, the topic is now under investigation.

The special court announced today that Aryan Khan’s bail application will be heard on Wednesday and requested seven days to file a response with the cruise ship. However, special judge VV Patil postponed the case until Wednesday. Right now, Aryan Khan news is all over the internet and covered by all the media outlets nationwide and internationally.
